Position Summary:
The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential and commercial buildings. This includes inspecting the plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues, determining the best solutions, and making repairs. The Plumber is also responsible for ensuring that all work meets local building codes and regulations.
Essential Job Functions:

Install new plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, and other components.

Repair existing plumbing systems by using hand tools and power tools to replace defective parts.

Perform maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure they are functioning properly.

Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.

Inspect drain lines to identify blockages or leaks using video cameras or other inspection methods.

Troubleshoot problems with plumbing systems to determine the best solution.

Install backflow prevention devices in order to comply with local regulations.

Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous materials such as lead or asbestos.

Provide estimates on repair costs or installation times for customers.

Proficiency in English both written and verbal
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
- Valid plumbing license.
- Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
